Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the general ledger accounting functions, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and Chinese Accounting Standards, and supporting SOX compliance. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years of general ledger and tax experience. Good English Speaking and Writing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records. Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. - Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in compliance with both US GAAP and PRC GAAP. Support internal and external requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
3. Tax Compliance: Handle corporate tax filings, VAT returns, and other tax-related matters in compliance with local regulations. Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company.
4. SOX Compliance: Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, including documentation of internal controls and processes. Participate in SOX testing and coordinate with auditors to address any findings.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, support the project declaration of high-tech enterprises and others.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in general ledger and tax rolls.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Chinese Accounting Standards.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Good English (both written and spoken) is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP,) preferred.
